In order to get the correct size bit for your horse, you will need to lay your current bit flat and measure the distance between the inside of the cheekpieces, as shown in the picture. 

Loose ring bits should approximatly have a 10mm gap each side to avoivd pinching.  Eggbutts need to be snug to the horses lips.

Size Guide - Bit width (approximatly)

  • 125cm = 4 7/8 inches
  • 130cm = 5 1/8 inches
  • 135cm = 5 3/8 inches
  • 140cm = 5 1/2 inches
  • 145cm = 5 3/4 inches
  • 150cm = 6 inches

Size Guide - Bit thickness 

  • B12 = 12mm
  • B14 = 14mm
